Sterling Pharma Solutions has appointed Karl Rotthier as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 21 October, 2025. Rotthier succeeds Kevin Cook, who has served as CEO since 2013 and decided to retire. Cook will work closely with Rotthier to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

Chris Brinsmead CBE, Chair of the Sterling Board, said, “We are delighted to welcome Karl to Sterling Pharma Solutions. Karl is a highly experienced CEO who has worked in both listed and private CDMO companies in Europe and globally. He has leadership experience working in fast-growing businesses that have expanded internationally and has a strong track record of driving commercial effectiveness and operational excellence.

“It is a privilege to join Sterling at an important time in the company’s growth and development,” Rotthier remarked. “I have known Sterling for some years, having followed the growth of the business in the market. I am delighted to now have the opportunity to lead the business and leverage the market opportunities in Europe and the US, as well as to continue to invest in our antibody-drug conjugate business, ultimately to help bring critical therapies to patients worldwide.”
